Description

St.  Elizabeth invites high school students interested in a career in the medical field  to apply to take part in the M.O.O.N.  Program.  Created by General Surgeon Dr.  Ryan Moon,  this five-day program will introduce teens to the world of healthcare through observation of a physician’s day-to-day life.
Specifically,  it will explore emergency and perioperative services,  along with
other specialty areas.

NOTE:  With the uncertainty of what is to come this summer related to COVID-19,  we may have to make modifications to our program agenda to ensure
the safety of our participants,  staff,  and community.  Rest assured,  we still plan to offer a unique experience for high school students who have an interest in healthcare.

Responsibilities

Applications will be available on March 1.
Applications must be submitted by April 1.
Participants will be selected by May 1.

Qualifications / Career Path

Minimum age of 16 (at time of program start).

Participants may be traveling to different locations throughout the day;  a valid driver’s license or reliable transportation during program hours (8 a.m.  to 4 p.m.)  is required.
